In September 2025, a total of 1,584 residents left the country. Of the departing residents 15years and over 49.7 percent left for vacation/holiday, 9.7 percent for Medical and 8.5 for Business/Meetings, while the remaining 32.0 percent had other reasons for departing from the Cook Islands.
