In July 2025, Cook Islands saw 21,410 total arrivals, with 19,975 visitors and 1,435 returning Cook Islanders and work permit holders. Visitor arrivals increased by 18.0 percent compared to June 2025. Peak months are typically May to October, which aligns with Southern Hemisphere winter and potential holiday travel.


The majority of visitor arrivals came from New Zealand with 66.2 percent, followed by Australia with 24.4 percent, Europe 3.4 percent, and USA 3.1 percent.


In July 2025, a total of 1,179 residents left the country. Of the departing residents 15years and over 47.9 percent left for vacation/holiday, 10.3 percent for Business/Meetings, 9.1 percent for Medical, while the remaining 32.7 percent had other reasons for departing from the Cook Islands.
