In July 2025, a total of 1,179 residents left the country. Of the departing residents 15years and over 47.9 percent left for vacation/holiday, 10.3 percent for Business/Meetings, 9.1 percent for Medical, while the remaining 32.7 percent had other reasons for departing from the Cook Islands.
